Coronavirus Update 1

Regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Dear God’s Way Church Family,

I know that we are currently living in what appears to be unfamiliar times of public turmoil, anxiety and fear.   However, let me remind you that Psalm 121 says, “He who watches over you will not slumber nor sleep.”  I can assure you that although this may be a period of uncertainty for the world, Our Father is not caught off guard about the present circumstances of His children.  He sees, He knows, and He cares.

As you know, I am always led of the Lord, as it pertains to this church and I will continue to follow His guidance during these difficult times.   Therefore, for the next few days I will be seeking God as to the direction He wants us to take as it relates to assembling for our weekly church gatherings.  Please note that in the interim, we have been and will continue to take, extra precautions to thoroughly sanitize the sanctuary before and after each gathering.  However, I also ask that you follow the recommended guidelines that we have adopted for assembling, as set forth by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) for public contact. Your overall safety and well-being are always paramount.  In addition, if we are unable to assemble in the coming weeks, we are currently working on providing you with the ability to access church information, sermons and giving online through our church website and app.  Therefore, it is important that your contact information is updated with the office to receive Calling Post messages and emails.  If it is not, Citizen Information Forms will be located at the front entrance table in one of the “Get Connected” boxes for your convenience.  Completed forms can be given to an usher.

In closing, remember that John 14:27 says that “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you.  Not as the world gives do I give to you.  Let not your hearts be troubled neither let them be afraid.”  It is my prayer that you will allow the peace of God to abide in your heart now and in the days ahead.  Let us continue to pray for each other, our nation, the world, and against this virus.   May God show us how to live without fear as we put our confidence in Him.

With Love,

Pastor Kinloch
